Rumpl has added Sarah Crockett to its board of directors. Crockett is the chief marketing officer for outdoor gear company Backcountry and also serves on the board of Stance Socks.

Portland-based Rumpl makes premium blankets. The company worked with the Women on Boards Project to find Crockett. Women on Boards works to improve diversity on corporate boards.

"Sarah brings such a deep knowledge of consumer-centric brand building in the outdoor, action sports, and apparel categories," said founder and CEO Wylie Robinson in a news release. "She has done an amazing job leading integrated marketing initiatives at brands like Backcountry, Burton Snowboards, REI, and Vans, and we're thrilled to have her join the Rumpl board of directors as we enter a new era of leadership and growth."

The company also recently announced the hiring of Rocco Villano as vice president of operations and Nate Clark as national sales manager.

Robinson appeared on ABC's "Shark Tank" last year.

After the episode aired, Robinson said in an interview with the Business Journal that he expected 2020 to be a strong year, with revenue growing 50%.

"We've modeled revenue from like $8 million to $10 million," he said last year. "It's looking like we'll (end up near the high end)."
