Three Oregon entrepreneurs were named Entrepreneur of the Year for the Pacific Northwest in an annual awards program by Ernst & Young LLP.
The professional services firm honors entrepreneurs every year from different regions around the country to recognize leadership, business performance and societal impact.
This year's local winners were:
Matt Thomas, founder of Brew Dr. Kombucha
Michelle Cardinal, co-founder and CEO of Rain the Growth Agency
Ryan Buchanan, founder and CEO of Thesis
“EY is proud to celebrate these unstoppable entrepreneurs and welcome them into our global Entrepreneur Of The Year alumni community,” said AJ Jordan, EY Americas Entrepreneur Of The Year Program Director in a written statement. “Despite the unprecedented challenges of the past year, these heroic leaders have inspired us all with their unrivaled courage, ambition and unwavering commitment to their companies, clients and communities.”
Winners were selected by judging panel of pervious honorees. The competition has six criteria: entrepreneurial leadership; talent management; degree of difficulty; financial performance; societal impact and building a values-based company; and originality, innovation and future plans, according to a news release.
