Nine startups have been selected as finalists for Angel Oregon Tech and will be pitching their businesses on stage at this year’s virtual TechFestNW.

The companies are vying for $125,000 as part of the revamped angel investment competition that is organized by Oregon Entrepreneurs Network and in partnership this year with TechFestNW.

Here’s who will be pitching:

  • Carry, an app designed to help pregnant people with prenatal movement and meditation.
  • Easeenet, a tool to help organize users digital life in real time so in the case of death or emergency, family members can access accounts.
  • Eno, created noise-canceling headphones that use AI and neurosensing technology to help users improve focus.
  • Lumina, creates recruiting videos from job descriptions to help companies attract talent.
  • Neupeak Robotics, provides autonomous robots for on-demand strawberry picking.
  • QChange, created real-time coaching to help leaders conduct better meetings.
  • Remotely Video, uses AI to automate video post-production processes to make Hollywood style tools at a lower cost.
  • Rewire Neuro, uses AI to help biomedical researchers improve the speed and repeatability of research with automated image analysis.
  • What’s Open, is an app to help small businesses ensure vital information is updated online and to help consumers shop local.

The finalists will make their pitches May 21 as part of TechFestNW. Tickets are on sale now for the event , which also features speakers such as New York Times cybersecurity reporter Nicole Perloth, Black Founders Matter Managing Director Marceau Michel and Arcimoto CEO Mark Frohnmayer.

AOTech is the new iteration of OEN’s longstanding event Angel Oregon. The event, which over its 12-year run invested $3.4 million into local startups, was put on hiatus in 2018 while organizers worked on an overhaul.

Over the years the event grew to include not only tech startups but other industries as well, and it became increasingly difficult to compare startups with vastly different business models and markets. Now OEN has AOTech focused on tech startups and Oregon Angel Food, that focuses on food and beverage startups.
