Marketing software maker SheerID expended its C-suite to include a chief customer officer and named Anjanette Hill Mendoza to the role.

This new executive position will oversee the customer experience from start to finish across different customer channels and digital transformation. Hill Mendoza will report to CEO Jake Weatherly.

“As we continue to exceed our goals, it’s imperative that we keep the needs of our customers front and center,” said Weatherly in a written statement. “Disruptive, category-creating companies find new ways to provide services, share expertise and deliver value to customers. Anjanette has a proven track record, and I’m confident that our customer community will benefit immensely.”

Hill Mendoza was most recently head of customer experience for DroneDeploy, a drone mapping software maker. She has more than 25 years working in customer lifecycle and customer success. Prior to DroneDeploy she was vice president of customer success for job recruiting site Glassdoor.

“SheerID has a great reputation for putting customers first. I’m thrilled to join the team to accelerate how brands can build trust with consumers through personalization practices that reward them for their unique status,” said Hill Mendoza in a written statement.

SheerID makes software used by brands to verify consumer identities and then market discount deals to certain groups such as teachers, students and military personnel. It has 161 total employees, which is an increase of 30% compared to 2019.

The company grew significantly last year. It saw revenue jump 54% compared to 2019. It added a new office in Europe and added 60 new accounts. New customers include Peloton, Paramount+ and Google Fi.

The company has more than 9,000 authoritative data sources and digitally verifies 2.5 billion consumers for customers. SheerID’s product is white-labeled and embedded in brand websites and other consumer engagement tools.
