Here are the Portland Inno companies that made the 2023 fastest-growing list

Last week hundreds came out to celebrate the Portland Business Journal’s biggest bash of the year: the annual unveiling of the 100 fastest growing companies in the region.

It’s a list based on the percentage growth over the last two years and one that can feature big companies that are still pulling in double and sometimes triple digit percentage growth as well as smaller companies that are in a high-growth phase of starting up.

This year, the base percentage growth to be in the top 100 was 33.59% between 2020 and 2022. The No. 1 company had growth of 735.42%.

Twenty-six companies in tech, tech adjacent (think staffing or marketing), or other startups we have written about in Portland Inno made the list. To qualify, companies had to have at least $250,000 in revenue in 2020 and had to provide three years of employment figures. Click through above to see who made the list.

Here’s some fun facts about companies on the overall list:

  • 80% was the average two-year growth rate.
  • $40.3 million was the average 2020 revenue of a P100 company.
  • $72.5 million was the average 2022 revenue of a P100 company.
  • 48.1% was the average two-year growth rate for a P100 company.
  • 68 of the companies were headquartered in Portland.
  • 3 companies this year were Lighthouse Award winners, meaning they have been on the list for five consecutive years.
