A C-suite executive at a publicly traded simulation software developer announced her plans to leave the company by the first half of 2024.

Nicole Anasenes, who serves as the chief financial officer at Ansys Inc., will leave the Canonsburg-based firm during the second quarter of next year after taking on the post in December 2020. She will help with the transition of her replacement, which Ansys (NASDAQ: ANSS) has since begun a search for so the role can be filled.

"Nicole is one of the smartest and most capable executives I have had the pleasure of working with," Ansys President and CEO Ajei Gopal said in a statement. "Nicole has helped drive our business and financial success. She has also played an instrumental role in our corporate transformation roadmaps."

Prior to taking on the CFO position, Anasenes served as one of Ansys' directors on its board. Before that, she served as the CFO and chief operating officer of Squarespace Inc.

"From my tenure as an Ansys director to my operational duties as chief financial officer, my time with Ansys has been some of the most rewarding of my career," Anasenes said in a statement. "I leave Ansys to focus on board work while knowing that the company has a bright future ahead of it."
