Hotels across the region sold out well ahead of Taylor Swift's two-night "Eras Tour" concert in Pittsburgh, and Duolingo, the East Liberty-based edtech learning platform, has joined in on the hype.

As part of its social-first marketing strategy, Duolingo's (NASDAQ: DUOL) "TAY-GATING" booth, located near the concert's Acrisure Stadium venue in Gold Lot 1, is bejeweled with captivating signage, interactive activities and an opportunity to take a picture with the Duo mascot dawning a customized "Eras" outfit.

Those in attendance at the "TAY-GATE" will also be able to partake in a Taylor-lingo activity. By accumulating points on the Duolingo app, participants will get to unlock tokens that grant them access to a delicate treasure — a bracelet symbolizing their commitment to the harmonious symphony of language learning and Taylor Swift's lyrical talent.

Within the sea of these 500 green bracelets, the whims of fate intertwine with Taylor's melodies, as two recipients will discover their bracelets adorned with multicolored hues, signifying an exclusive "Wildest Dreams" come true — a pair of coveted floor seat tickets to the concert.

"At Duolingo, we believe anyone can learn a language and it should be fun too," Zaria Parvez, social media manager at Duolingo and organizer of the "Taygate," said in an email statement. "This is a unique way to delight Swifities and show them we can speak their language too!"

Re-sold tickets on StubHub for Swift's concert are ranging from $1,600 for nosebleeds to nearly $30,000 for a front-row floor seat. VisitPittsburgh, the region's tourism and marketing agency, expects the concerts to outperform that of Elton John's when he hosted at PNC Park last September.
