A Pittsburgh-based tech firm that provides products for the print and packaging industries acquired a U.K.-based management information system software provider.

By acquiring Tharstern Group, eProductivity Software (ePS) said it is looking to further expand and diversify its geographic footprint. Tharstern's primary customer base resided in its native U.K., as well as in Ireland, Australia and South Africa, among others. Meanwhile, ePS said it has customers "of all sizes and across all industry segments globally."

"We are excited to welcome Tharstern's customers and talented employees to the ePS family," Gabriel Matsliach, CEO of ePS, said in a prepared statement. "We will continue to support Tharstern's existing customers with the same enthusiasm they have come to expect, and we look forward to providing them with additional value by leveraging ePS' global presence, industry know-how, and rich product portfolio."

Tharstern employees are expected to aid ePS in furthering the company's cloud platform offering and its overall growth strategy.

The companies did not disclose the cost of the acquisition.

According to its website, ePS employs about 750 workers globally across six offices. In January 2022, the company split into an independent firm from Pittsburgh-based Efi (Electronics for Imaging) after being acquired by Symphony Technology Group.
