The Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Institute (ARM), a nonprofit organization based in Hazelwood Green that's tasked with advocating on behalf of its more than 380 consortium members and partners across industries, announced its endorsement for several robotics training programs.

NCUS Tech, Motlow State Community College, SWPA Bots IQ and Westmoreland County Community College are the latest recipients of ARM's endorsement, which ARM claims is a distinction that marks these offerings as being among the nation's most effective training programs for robotics careers in manufacturing.

"Our nation’s ability to grow U.S. manufacturing is inhibited by a historic skills gap,” Mary Ellen Rich, ARM Institute certification manager, said in a prepared statement. "Effective training programs are critical to both recruiting the next generation of manufacturers and upskilling our current workforce. Congratulations to each of our endorsed programs on this well-earned recognition."

ARM launched its endorsement program in 2021 in conjunction with RoboticsCareer.org, a national workforce resource from ARM.

The organization said receiving an endorsement comes following a thorough evaluation process that benchmarks a program's relevance to the industry, curriculum effectiveness, training efficiency, program impact, program sustainability and transportability.
