The Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Institute has promoted two employees from within the organization to take on new senior executive leadership posts for the Hazelwood Green-based organization.
Charles Brandt now takes on the role of chief technology officer for ARM after previously serving as the organization's vice president of technical initiatives. Suzanne Teele is the organization's new chief strategy officer after being promoted from vice president of strategic initiatives and outreach.
"Chuck and Suzy have been instrumental in the ARM Institute’s success and in expanding our capabilities," Ira Moskowitz, ARM Institute CEO, said in a prepared statement. "The ARM Institute team congratulates Chuck and Suzy on their promotions and thanks them for their continued commitment to the ARM Institute mission."
Brandt first joined ARM in 2018 as its deputy director of technology development, a role he held until the promotion to his most recent post in December 2021. Prior to joining ARM, Brandt worked at Innovation Works Inc., one of the region's most active seed-stage investors in local startup companies, where he served as its vice president of technology programs. He has also held other jobs with the Pittsburgh-based Technology Collaborative organization, Northrop Grumman Corp., Westinghouse and Raytheon Technologies Corp.
Teele joined ARM in 2017, right after the organization's founding. Her career before and since then has spanned more than two decades where she worked on business strategy, product management, customer acquisition and retention, marketing, sales and business development. Before joining ARM, she also served as an executive consultant and advisor to early-stage and venture-backed tech companies.
ARM is a Manufacturing Innovation Institute, which receives funding from the office of the U.S. Secretary of Defense. It's tasked with advocating on behalf of its more than 300 consortium members and partners across industries, academia and governments to increase the accessibility of robotics, autonomy and artificial intelligence to small and large manufacturers, among other initiatives.
