A startup that works in the intersection of neuroscience and robotics industries announced that it has established Pittsburgh as its new headquarters after moving from Wichita, Kansas.

Founded in 2020, Neuraville LLC will now occupy 1,200-square-feet in the former space along Craig Street in Oakland of Pittsburgh Innovation District’s coworking platform for entrepreneurs and innovators called Avenu. It'll ideally grant the startup the ability to tap into the talent pool coming out of the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University.

The full relocation to Pittsburgh comes after the startup previously maintained a smaller office in the city.

“At Neuraville we have introduced a novel method to bring the cutting-edge advancements in neuroscience into the field of robotics and have developed control systems for robots using inspirations from the human brain," Mohammad Nadji, founder and CEO of Neuraville, said in a statement. "Our mission is to become an international leader in the development of smart control systems for service robots that can be highly functional and safe to use."

According to Mike Madden, director of the Pittsburgh Innovation District, Avenu isn't going away despite Neuraville's occupation of its former space. Instead, it'll open a new location soon, the details of which Madden said will be released at a later date, while it maintains other coworking spaces in Oakland and Uptown.
