On Thursday, June 27, Pittsburgh Inno and the Pittsburgh Business Times held its 2024 Startups to Watch event.
The event was hosted by Workscape, a Pittsburgh-based supplier of creative office furnishings, at its South Side offices and showroom. It featured networking, refreshments and a brief program led by Pittsburgh Inno's tech reporter, Jake Dabkowski. Dabkowski gave remarks on Pittsburgh Inno's mission in reporting on the region's tech sector, explained what it means for companies to be named Startups to Watch and invited representatives from each of the Pittsburgh Business Times' 10 Startups to Watch for 2024 to give 90-second pitches about their respective companies.
The 10 startups to watch were: Aquatonomy, CorePower Magnetics, D.Sole, Edulis Therapeutics, Efficient Computer Corp., Helexva Inc., KaliVir Immunotherapeutics Inc., Lead-In Record Co., Peoples Energy Analytics and Stack AV.
Eight of the 10 Startups to Watch were present and gave pitches during the program. Following the pitch session, more networking took place, with attendees able to learn more from the representatives about each company.
Ginny Rothschild, CEO of Workscape, also gave remarks about her company, inviting attendees to explore the showroom and its various potential office setting vignettes. A number of representatives from Workscape were in attendance and on hand to answer questions and guide attendees around the space.
