Diamond Kinetics on Thursday said it had acquired sidelineHD, a company whose technology provides for live streaming of youth sports.
Financial terms of the acquisition between the two privately held companies weren't announced.
SidelineHD's technology allows parents to livestream their children's games with scoreboards, sports data and player information as well as AI-powered video clips and highlights. Diamond Kinetics is a youth baseball and softball technology company that helps development of players with partnerships with Major League baseball, PONY, Ripken Baseball and others.
"This acquisition aligns perfectly with Diamond Kinetics' vision of providing a unified and complete experience for youth baseball and softball athletes and families," said Diamond Kinetics CEO C.J. Handron. "By integrating sidelineHD's livestreaming and video highlights capabilities into our offering, we are now able to deliver even more value to users as they move from practice-time to in-game action and vice versa."
Diamond Kinetics is based in Pittsburgh.
