Pittsburgh-based autonomous vehicle developer Argo AI has unveiled its full product lineup to enable business to integrate autonomous vehicles into their fleets for rideshare and delivery services.

Specifically, Argo says its tools are for ride hail and ride pooling and middle- and last-mile delivery. Currently, Argo operates consumer-facing ridesharing services with Lyft, as well as autonomous goods delivery with Walmart. Argo said that it will continue forging partnerships with businesses to integrate its new product offerings into their operations.

"Advancements in autonomy will improve the safety and accessibility of our roads, while also solving real business challenges," Brett Browning, chief technology officer and executive vice president of product development at Argo AI, said in a release. "By creating this full suite of products and services, Argo offers businesses across a broad range of industries everything they need to take advantage of self-driving technology at scale."

Argo’s official product offering includes four main platform groups, Argo Connect, Argo Autonomy Platform, Argo Autonomy Solutions and Argo Autonomy Data and Analytics. Argo said that the product ecosystem was created utilizing its years of experience in testing across eight different cities, Pittsburgh included, though autonomous vehicle testing and deployment without a human driver present is still not permitted by law in Pennsylvania.

Argo Connect is what the company describes as the “gateway” into its product ecosystem. It’s a platform that allows users to schedule and dispatch autonomous vehicles to move both people and packages.

The Argo Autonomy Platform consists of several components, including Argo’s main self-driving software and hardware, Argo Drive. It also includes the company’s proprietary long-range sensor, Argo Lidar, as well as Argo Map, a high-definition map network and Argo Hub, a suite of cloud tools and infrastructure to support autonomous vehicles in the field.

Argo Autonomy Solutions consists of Argo Operations, which is a set of in-market services to help businesses deploy and operate autonomous vehicles, and Argo Fleet, which are a set of products designed to maximize fleet uptime.

Argo Autonomy Data and Analytics uses data collected from Argo-powered autonomous vehicles to identify areas of possible efficiency gains or logistics optimization.
