The $1.5 million was part of $3.75 million in federal State Small Business Credit Initiative funds recently awarded through the Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority and announced by the Department of Community and Economic Development.

BFTDA also awarded $2.25 million to Metallum Ventures LP, an extension of Bronze Valley Corp., an Atlanta-based Community Development Financial Institution with ties to Philadelphia.

BTVC Fund had previously received $1 million through BFTDA almost two years ago.
