In August 2022, Sewickley-based Annexus Health closed on a $33 million Series B capital raise, more than tripling the $12 million the company previously had raised during its seed and Series A rounds. Annexus Health offers tech-enabled services and solutions that reduce financial and administrative burdens for health care providers to improve access to patient care, especially for patients requiring financial assistance. Across its footprint, it has 165 employees, with 35 based in the region.
What does it feel like to raise the amount of funding your company has raised thus far?
With the closing of our Series B financing, we now have the resources to continue our mission to dramatically advance how the patient access care journey is managed. The money we raise helps us get assistance into the hands of patients who need it — AssistPoint has been used to secure more than $3 billion in patient financial assistance awards since 2018, and I am proud and humbled to know the impact we’re having on patients and their families.
How will this funding further grow the company?
As health care costs skyrocket, patients often face a heartbreaking double crisis of financial hardship on top of illness. Additionally, health care providers face mounting administrative challenges in caring for their patients. We are reimagining the health care ecosystem with a goal of ensuring that patients can access the right care at the right time without compromising their financial well-being, and supplying provider organizations with the resources to manage administrative functions optimally. By furthering our growth, this funding will help accelerate solutions enabling patients to receive the care designed for them.
