Kloopify Inc.

About the company: Kloopify Inc. is a Homewood-based startup founded in 2021 by CEO Daniela Osio and Chief Operations Officer Ignacio Osio that offers a software platform for procurement teams to make sustainable purchasing decisions. The startup provides purchasing professionals with automated, near-time data on the emissions coming from some of the commodities they might buy. By integrating carbon emissions data into their everyday purchasing decisions, Kloopify hopes businesses can become leaders in an evolution toward more environmentally sustainable purchasing. Kloopify employs four and has raised a total of $1.5 million in outside investment.

Why we’re watching: Kloopify’s unique procurement solution addresses a growing need for businesses that are looking to become more sustainable. With its recent funding round of $1.5 million, Kloopify has the potential to become a significant player in the budding sustainability industry. The revenue-producing company is looking to hire additional employees throughout the year so it can keep up with its growing customer demand.

What’s their vision for 2023: “Kloopify will help businesses capture available revenue by giving them the data they need to become first-movers in the evolution to more environmentally sustainable purchasing,” Daniela Osio said. “In 2023, we will not only strengthen our product market fit, [but] we will also continue to build the strongest team to scale Kloopify.”
