A comprehensive health insurance solution for startups and growing tech companies

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona’s partnership with AZ Technology Council brings big time benefits to local innovators
BCBSAZ recognized early on that Arizona is the “Silicon Desert” and is leading the way in technology advancement. That’s why they partnered with the Arizona Technology Council.

Growing Arizona technology companies can now get big business health benefits thanks to the partnership between Blue Cross® Blue Shield® of Arizona (BCBSAZ) and the Arizona Technology Council (AZTC). This partnership provides exclusive insurance plans available only to AZTC members. The AZTC association health plan (AHP) is for startups, smaller businesses and growing companies who want to focus on what they do best – expanding their mission.

By joining together as one association, small technology businesses are taking advantage of comprehensive health benefits to help attract and retain top talent in today’s competitive market. The solid benefits package provided by BCBSAZ and AZTC gives Arizona technology companies a key competitive advantage for growth.

What does the AHP solution offer AZTC members?

AZTC understands the challenges and barriers that many startups and small businesses face. That is exactly the reason why this AHP targets member employers with fewer than 100 employees. This robust insurance product — available exclusively to AZTC members with a business headquartered in Arizona with two or more employees — features medical and dental plans from BCBSAZ, along with vision coverage, health savings and flexible spending account administration, employee assistance and life insurance.

Why Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona?

BCBSAZ recognized early on that Arizona is the “Silicon Desert” and is leading the way in technology advancement. That’s why they partnered with the Arizona Technology Council, the premier trade association for science and technology companies in Arizona. Plan members have access to BCBSAZ’s expansive network of providers (a statewide network that includes Mayo Clinic), innovative health and wellness programs and local customer support. The AHP also grants relief from time-sensitive duties such as COBRA administration, consolidated billing, online enrollment, bill payment and various plan compliance filings.
