Scottsdale software startup AudiencePlus has raised another $7 million.

The firm, which has developed a software platform to help marketing firms with audience engagement, has now raised more than $12 million since May 2023. Previous investor Emergence Capital, based in San Francisco, led the round, with participation from High Alpha and PHX Ventures.

PHX Ventures Founder and Managing Partner Gregg Scoresby will serve as a board observer for AudiencePlus, while Emergence General Partner Santi Subotovsky is joining the startup's board of directors.

AudiencePlus anticipates using the funds to "double down on our R&D resources to accelerate our value creation for customers, while also investing in marketing programs to educate the industry around owned media best practices," said Anthony Kennada, co-founder and CEO of AudiencePlus, in a company blog post. The startup's software allows customers to host video content, articles, live streams, webinars and more on their websites in what Kennada has previously described as a Netflix-like experience for marketers.

The software remains in beta mode for the time being, though the startup has recruited more than 30 customers to pilot the platform, Kennada told AZ Inno in a Sept. 9 email. He expects the product to be released to the general public later this year.

The company recently moved into new office space at 1001 N. Central Ave., in the popular Roosevelt Row entertainment district, according to Kennada. The 3,000-square-foot space is home to seven full-time employees and includes a full production studio, he added.

AudiencePlus is currently looking to fill five open roles, including a senior product manager, account executive, and engineering roles.

The company has also made a new addition to its advisory board, adding ServiceNow Chief Marketing Officer Colin Fleming into the fold. Fleming previously spent 13 years leading global marketing efforts at Salesforce, according to Kennada's blog post.
