Local organizers have extended an application deadline for a virtual pitch competition in which Arizona startups can win an all-expenses paid trip to one of the largest technology conferences in the world.
Phoenix-based Ghani Consulting is seeking applications from startups through Sept. 6 for the Arizona Dubai Pitch Competition, which is open to companies of all stages and sectors.
A panel of judges will choose the winning startup, which receives a roundtrip flight to Dubai, accommodations for four nights, and a built and branded booth to showcase their company at Expand North Star, held Oct 13-16 during GITEX Global 2024.
What’s more, the winning startup receives guaranteed entry to the Supernova Challenge 2024 Semifinals at Expand North Star, where they’ll compete for cash prizes totaling $200,000, according to a Ghani Consulting release.
The winning startup will be also featured in the inaugural U.S. Startup Pavilion at Expand North Star during GITEX Global 2024.
The pavilion is part of the Dubai Tech Experience, a groundbreaking initiative designed to highlight innovative U.S. startups on an international stage.
Exhibiting US startups will have access to a comprehensive program including investor meetings, networking events, and keynote presentations by leading figures in tech and startups.
Ghani Consulting is hosting the virtual pitch competition with support from Venture Café Phoenix, CEI, Freeway, StartupAZ, the Arizona Commerce Authority and Greater Phoenix Economic Council, among others. Ghani Consulting, which operates offices in Phoenix and Dubai, specializes in helping companies grow globally by providing access to the firm’s investor network, resources and government partnership.
The Arizona Dubai Competition is a gateway for startups to gain international exposure and build global networks, according to Ghani Consulting.
