Mesa-based eVisit has named Sachin Agrawal as its new chief executive officer, the health tech company announced.
Agrawal has nearly two decades of experience leading health care technology companies. He most recently served as eVisit’s president — a position he held since last June.
As eVisit’s president, Agrawal revamped the company’s go-to-market strategy, added sales and marketing employees with IT experience to its team and prioritized initiatives to maximize eVisit’s virtual care impact, according to a company announcement.
Agrawal succeeds Bret Larsen, who co-founded eVisit in 2014. Larsen will work closely with Agrawal and remain involved in eVisit’s operations as its executive board chairman.
"I've had the honor of working with Sachin and watching him operate in the president role," Larsen said in a statement. "He is exactly what eVisit needs to align our core capabilities with the needs of health systems, their clinicians, and ultimately the patients they serve.”
The company’s virtual care platform is designed to help health systems and hospitals leverage telehealth and deliver remote care.
Under Larsen’s leadership, eVisit raised more than $75 million in venture capital, including $45 million in a series B round led by Goldman Sachs in 2021. The company has also partnered with health systems, such as Banner Health, which deployed its telehealth platform across its network in 2020, according to eVisit’s website.
"EVisit is well-positioned to help health systems execute their virtual care strategies in order to meet their revenue, operational, and quality and safety goals,” Agrawal said in a statement. “I'm thankful for the confidence that Bret, Goldman Sachs, and our other investors have placed in me to lead the next chapter of our business."
