Title: Owner
Company: The Zillennial Zine
Age: 24
Sabrina Grimaldi in 2021 launched The Zillennial Zine, an online magazine for Gen Z, millennials and “everyone in between,” she said. Her idea for the publication was prompted by a desire to create an online space for people of similar age who felt misunderstood and for young journalists who want to be heard, she said.
“In the past three years, I have been able to do just that and have loved every minute of it,” she said. “Every semester since the magazine's creation in 2021, I have had the chance to mentor young journalists from all over the world who create killer content for the publication every day.”
The online publication features a variety of articles focusing on health, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, pop culture and more.
The Zillennial Zine has gained a robust following with thousands of readers worldwide and reached more than 1 million Google and Pinterest impressions, Grimaldi said. What’s more, Grimaldi and her online publication have been featured in articles by Buzzfeed, CNN, Elle and the New York Times.
The Zillennial Zine offers an internship program, allowing young adults and college students an opportunity to expand their writing portfolios.
In addition to operating The Zillennial Zine, Grimaldi is a freelance book editor and journalist whose work has appeared in the Arizona Daily Sun, Flag Live and Arcadia News.
“In the future, I hope to continue expanding the magazine online and in print and welcome new Zillennial readers,” she said.
