Even a tight venture capital market can't slow the pace of innovation in Greater Philadelphia, whether it's being driven by new startups cropping up on the scene or more established companies making waves.
University students and recent graduates are leading many of the ventures, and we're once again honoring some of these young innovators for this year’s PHL Inno Under 25. Now in its third year, Inno Under 25 highlights individuals in Greater Philadelphia that are on the cutting edge of innovation – whether in venture capital, technology, health care or other industries.
To determine this year’s list, the Philadelphia Business Journal and PHL Inno sought nominations from the public and considered candidates put forth by our editorial team. To be considered, nominees must be 25 years of age or younger and work for a company based in Greater Philadelphia and/or reside in the region.
Honorees span a wide range of industries, including consumer goods, biotechnology and environmental solutions. Many are products of the region’s colleges and universities, though some studied farther afield before setting up shop locally.
Each of this year’s honorees will be profiled in a special print edition of the Business Journal in September, as well as online.
Here are this year’s Inno Under 25 honorees, their companies and location:
