The "Tech Days of Spring" are here.

The University of Hawaii and the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii have teamed up to sponsor a series of events that aim to connect students and jobseekers with local tech companies and facilitate "networking and career exploration opportunities," according to a March 25 announcement from UH.

Hawaii Teach Days of Spring 2024, which kicked off in February, will continue through the end of April.

“These events are providing students, educators and others with valuable opportunities to learn from and engage with IT employers,” Alan Ito, UH IT workforce development and regulated policy lead, said in a statement. “We are grateful for the collaboration within the IT industry and their commitment to investing in workforce development initiatives that are cultivating our skilled local IT workforce and equipping our teachers with the knowledge to understand what opportunities are out there for their students.”

The next upcoming event is Entrepreneurship Live, which will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. March 27, at UH Manoa's Walter Dods Jr. RISE [Residences for Innovative Student Entrepreneurs] Center, where participants can ask questions to a panel of UH alumni who are founders working in tech.
