Farmers, entrepreneurs and small business owners in Maui County have a chance to learn about grant-writing this month in a series of classes hosted by The University of Hawaii at Manoa’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources.
The classes will take place Feb. 23 on Molokai, Feb. 27 on Maui, and Feb. 29 on Lanai, Maui County Council Chair Alice L. Lee announced earlier this week. Maui County’s Department of Agriculture sponsors the classes, which are free for attendees.
“We are happy to support outreach programs that provide education and financial opportunities to residents throughout Maui County,” Lee, who holds the seat for the Wailuku-Waihee-Waikapu residency area, said in a statement. “The grant-writing sessions are a valuable resource to those looking to expand their small business or develop new skills.”
According to Lee’s announcement, attendees can book 30- or 60-minute appointments, and sessions may take place on Zoom or in person. For more information, contact the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources at (808) 244-3242, extension 222.
