The Self-Storage Hawaii unConference recently announced its Proptech and Greentech Startup Pitch Contest – an opportunity for startups to pitch ideas to industry leaders and connect with potential partners – this October.
“We're thrilled to offer this platform for emerging proptech and greentech startups to gain valuable exposure and propel their ventures forward,” Tron Jordheim, founder and organizer of the Self-Storage Hawaii unConference, said in a statement. “This contest is not just about winning, it's about connecting with industry experts, potential customers and investors who can help take a budding business to the next level.”
According to organizers, this contest will allow startups to:
- Refine their pitch: Finalists will receive coaching and mentorship before presenting to potential investors.
- Gain exposure: Selected companies will showcase innovative solutions to a large audience of industry professionals from commercial property, venture capital and self-storage sectors, among others. There will also be networking opportunities.
- Compete for top honors: A group of semi-finalists will be presented to a wide audience by late spring. Four finalists will be selected to present their ideas live at the Self-Storage Hawaii unConference, where attendees will vote for the winner. Prizes include funding to help cover costs and to fuel expansion and development.
Interested startups, particularly with a focus on solutions for commercial real estate, self-storage, or green and clean technologies can apply online at the Hawaii unConference pitch page.
The deadline to submit a pitch is April 30.
Since 2009, the Self-Storage Hawaii unConference has gathered industry leaders, investors and innovators from across the country to share knowledge, network and collaborate on the future of the self-storage industry.
This year’s event is slated to run Oct. 21 to 25 at Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.
