XLR8HI’s preX program announces recent participating companies, seeks next cohort

A total of 13 companies throughout the state recently completed preX, XLR8HI’s investment readiness and business scaling program.

The participants spanned a range of industries including health care, wellness, food and beverage, and more.

This marked the sixth cohort for preX, which is a four-week virtual program that helps prepare founders and small business owners to raise funding, scale their business, or apply to accelerator. It features pitch sessions, discussions with local entrepreneurs, and one-on-ones with the preX team.

“At XLR8HI, our mission has always been to improve the Hawaii ecosystem and better our communities. In the last two years, we’ve joined forces with over 100 Hawaii businesses from various sectors and stages to accelerate their entrepreneurial journeys and reach our collective goal,” said XLR8HI Managing Partner Omar Sultan in a statement.

Here are the 13 companies that recently completed the program:

  • Aiami Coffee: (Oahu) A coffee company created around producer-level sustainability
  • Balanced Brain: (Oahu) Center for mindfulness and neurotherapy that aims to break down silos in mental health care
  • Breach LLC: (Maui) A sustainable event services company
  • Coral MED: (Oahu) Healthcare IT company helping medical practices increase revenue and reduce admin costs
  • CUT Market: (Maui) A boutique featuring curated vintage items
  • Green Vibe Farms: (Oahu) A family-run farm
  • Huna Health: (Oahu) A pharmacogenomic consulting service
  • Kealia Organics: (Kauai) A soap and body care company offering all-natural products infused with local ingredients
  • Kohala Coast Urgent Care: (Hawaii Island) A health care company committed to health equity
  • KOMO Studio: (Oahu) A woman-owned Lagree-licensed studio
  • Maka Butter: (Oahu) A business that creates tropical nut butter
  • Manu Brewing Co: (Oahu) A producer of ready-to-drink mamaki tea
  • Ohana Mana Juice Co: (Kauai) A business specializing in cold-pressed immunity shots

XLR8HI is now seeking participants for its next cohort, which is slated to run in June. Applications are due by May 21, and there will be an informational session for prospective applicants on Tuesday at noon.
