Local business incubator XLR8HI is expanding its preX program and is now accepting applications for its spring cohort.

The free, four-week, remote investment readiness and scaling curriculum provides training, mentorship, and a support community for Hawaii businesses across a wide range of industries. More than 50 locally based companies — including those in the artificial intelligence, bitcoin and bioenergy industries, among others — have graduated from the program, from Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Molokai and Hawaii Island.

“It’s a program created by entrepreneurs and investors for entrepreneurs,” said XLR8HI managing director Omar Sultan, in a statement.

Applications are due by Wednesday, April 20, and those interested can apply here.

“preX teaches you so many valuable tools while maintaining the spirit and values of Aloha that we hold so close to our hearts," said CEO Jeff Orig of Orig Entertainment, a participant in preX’s third cohort, in a statement. "It is truly the best business program I have ever participated in. If you are considering applying, go for it, it could change your life as it has changed mine.”

Supported by the U.S. Economic Development Administration, U.S. Small Business Administration, and Hawaii Technology Development Corporation, preX's mission is to accelerate the growth of businesses that are innovating solutions for Hawaii’s communities.
