Hawaii-based business incubator Elemental Excelerator is now accepting applications for startups to join its eleventh cohort.

Startups working in food, agriculture, nature-based solutions, circular economy, water, energy, and mobility can apply for a slot in the newest on Elemental Excelerator’s website. As a Hawaii-based organization, Elemental is seeking technologies that will help push Hawaii’s decarbonization and climate goals, with an emphasis on funding at least two projects in the Islands.

Applications close on Friday, April 8.

Project funding for Elemental's programming has increased to $600,000 to include $100,000 for community partner engagement, and a preference toward projects deployed in Hawaii and California, where Elemental is co-headquartered. Previous portfolio companies include Bikeshare Hawaii, Blue Planet Energy, Farm Link, Hawaii Ulu Cooperative and Shifted Energy.

The incubator is also focusing on recruiting applicants with leadership and executive team members from traditionally excluded populations.
