The Chamber of Commerce Hawaii is teaming up with HTDC’s INNOVATE Hawaii to host a virtual event focused on the importance of manufacturing in the local economy.

Held via Zoom from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the Manufacturing Day 2021 event — titled “A Collaborative Future — will provide a behind-the-scenes look at Hawaii’s manufacturing industry.

Dana Shapiro from the Hawaii Ulu Cooperative and representatives from La Tour Bakehouse will speak about the significance of manufacturing and provide virtual tours of their facilities. A Q&A session will follow. Gary Yoshioka, president of Diamond Bakery and the Hawaii Food Manufacturers Association, will moderate the event.

The event is free and open to the public. To register, click here.

A national event, Manufacturing Day is held each October in an effort to raise awareness and understanding about modern manufacturing practices.
