Falcon’s Beyond Global Inc. (Nasdaq: FBYD) — an Orlando-based themed entertainment business that went public in 2023 — on March 5 announced a newly formed division of the company.

The new business unit is called Falcon’s Attractions Systems & Technologies, and its focus is selling standalone attractions to theme parks, museums, zoos, aquariums and special event venues, according to a new release shared by the company.

CEO Dennis Speigel of International Theme Park Services — which in the past has hired Falcon’s Beyond on behalf of a client — said, “They are stepping it up. They already have a very interesting and excellent history in the industry of creativity and developing concepts, so in my opinion, this move is a logical extension of that.”

The attractions sold under the new business unit’s banner include:

Speigel, whose company provides management, consulting, feasibility, design and operations services, said because technology has advanced more in the past 10 years than it did in the 50-60 years before that, more businesses are addressing the needs of location-based entertainment in the ways that Falcon’s Beyond’s business units are.

“Another one, Triotech out of Montreal, is doing some similar things,” he said. Triotech’s product line includes a dark ride, XD theater and dome theater, too.

Falcon’s Executive Vice President Daryl White of Global Licensing & Business Development said the emphasis on standalone products comes thanks to the rise of immersive experiences as a key part of themed entertainment.

Before the rollout of Falcon’s Attractions, Falcon's Beyond already had other divisions such as Falcon’s Beyond Destinations, which develops, owns and operates resorts, theme parks, attractions, retail and dining venues where stories. Another, Falcon’s Beyond Brands, creates games, music and products as extensions of existing entertainment brands.

Meanwhile, the company has 200 job openings on its website, include accounting, engineers, artists, designers, game developers, managers, security and more.

Falcon's Beyond Global in January finalized the purchase of a former Valencia College office building and vacant land for its global headquarters. It paid $10.3 million for a 57,680-square-foot district office building on 1.84 acres at 1768 Park Center Drive along with a nearby vacant 5-acre property in the MetroWest area.
