Orlando Inno and Orlando Business Journal invite you to join us for drinks, conversation and community at the June 2 State of Innovation event at Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. A limited number of tickets are still available, so be sure to register here before it’s too late!

Here’s more on this exciting opportunity to explore what’s happening in the region’s emerging technology sector, mingle with leaders in the startup community and learn more about Central Florida’s top source for technology news: Orlando Inno

When is it? State of Innovation will take place Thursday, June 2, from 5-7 p.m.

Where will it be held? Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, 1000 Holt Ave. in Winter Park

What’s going on? The event will kick off with drinks and networking with Central Florida's innovation community. That’ll be followed by a panel of local founders and innovation leaders. They'll discuss the emerging technologies behind innovation in Central Florida tourism and hospitality, trends in the industry, business opportunities and what we can expect to see in the future.

Who should attend? Orlando Inno events are open to anyone interested in learning more about emerging technologies and innovation. Still, this event is a perfect fit for entrepreneurs/founders, innovators, investors, employees of local startups, those in the local tourism/hospitality sector and government/economic development leaders.

Why does this matter? Theme parks, travel and events helped put Central Florida on the map. Today, tourism/hospitality employs 212,000 people in metro Orlando alone. While the tech industry aims to grow, diversify the region’s economy and add high-wage jobs, tourism and hospitality is ripe with high-tech opportunities. That’s highlighted by the startups that’ll join the June 2 panel, as well as the recent news theme park giant Universal Parks & Resorts plans to add hundreds of tech jobs in Orlando
