Welcome to Orlando Inno, a new digital media, events and data company focused on local innovation.

We’re part of a growing network of sites  we’re in Boston (launched in ’08),  D.C. (’12),  Chicago (’14), Austin (’15), the Twin Cities (’17), Rhode Island (’17), Cincinnati (’17) Atlanta (’18), Wisconsin (’18), Richmond (’18), Colorado (’18), Tampa Bay (’19), Charlotte ('19), North Texas ('19), Houston ('21) and Buffalo ('21) — committed to covering, connecting and catalyzing the people, companies, trends and topics that are driving and defining local startup and tech communities.

American Inno is owned by the American City Business Journals, making us a sister publication to Orlando Business Journal.

Inno aims to help strengthen Orlando's ecosystem through four core products a fun, weekly newsletter  sign up for The Beat! — authoritative, insightful and original editorial, engaging events and meetups, and comprehensive directories and data (take a tour of our startup, careers and events directories now).

While we're focused solely on the region, we'll be able to cull intelligence and context from the American Inno network, working to connect Orlando entrepreneurs to venture capital, peers and resources in our other markets to help these enterprises grow locally. You can learn more about leveraging the American Inno network here.

Orlando Inno will be led by our reporter Alex Soderstrom; you can hit him with pitches, questions, feedback and more at: ASoderstrom@BizJournals.com.

We love to tell stories about the people behind the companies, ideas and organizations that are shaping the present and future of a region's business landscape. Know a startup or entrepreneur we should we be in touch with? Shoot us a note.

On Inno, you’ll find longer looks into the trends and topics that are impacting and influencing the region's reputation as an emerging tech hub, as well as resource-driven lists, multimedia and much, much more.

And, along with daily news and analysis that will help those in the community stay informed and plugged in, Inno will also serve as an onboarding tool for people and businesses that are new to the ecosystem. Inno’s Guides are designed to offer comprehensive looks at resources that are available to the community, from accelerators to incubators, VCs to angels, and beyond. If it’s local and innovative, it’ll be on Orlando Inno.

We also have several directories to help you further navigate and discover this burgeoning ecosystem. On the Inno Pages, you’ll be able to filter through a number of local venture-backed startups by funding, stage, size, industry and more. And on the Events and Careers directories, you can browse through upcoming events and recent job postings respectively.

The best way to stay connected to Inno is to sign up for the newsletter (The Beat) and we’ll see you in your inbox every week. (Also, be sure to bookmark this site and pass it along to anyone that you think may be interested in tapping into the city's ecosystem). But the Beat will be your life raft to Inno and everything happening in and around the Orlando innovation economy; start there!

Throughout the year, Orlando Inno will be hosting a variety of events, from focused meetups to big award celebrations.

Finally, thanks to our Founding Partners: the Orlando Tech Council, The Florida High Tech Corridor, Soliman Productions, Lowndes and Crummer Graduate School of Business.
