Meet the 2023 winner of Orlando Inno Madness — an integrated sports management and engagement platform that connects the wider sports ecosystem worldwide.

Orlando-based iSportz came out on top in the final round of voting for Orlando Inno Madness, a bracket-style competition between startups and innovative companies. iSportz captured 70.1% of the vote, beating out Excel Formula Bot, an add-on to Excel and Google Sheets that transforms text instructions into Excel and Google Sheets formulas within seconds with the help of AI.

The 1-year-old iSportz is changing the sports management tech landscape via a next-generation sports management and engagement platform leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning and Web3 and blockchain technologies.

It helps sports organizations save time with communication, club and team management, scheduling, registration, rosters, member management, learning management, event management and game information on the management front. The company also works with fans, athletes, sports fraternities and affiliates in the engagement front to help grow amateur sports and provide a great fan experience end to end.

The goal of Inno Madness is to give a snapshot of some of the most-promising tech companies in Central Florida. By no means is this bracket a complete list of the area's best startups or most well-funded firms. Instead, it is meant to represent the full breadth and diversity of the ecosystem.

However, iSportz is quite busy, as it is raising up to $1.5 million for its seed round through the Angel List and other venture capital funds, as well as institutional investors and more, said CEO Vijay Krishnan. It has raised $525,000 in pre-seed round commitments/funding as of December 2022 from accelerators and angel investors like Ignite Equity Partners, Starter Studio and Phoenix Holdings.

The company plans to use the funding to expand its sales and marketing team to drive the next phase of growth via demand generation and new logos, among other goals.

Some of its newest deals include a complete platform using all functionalities for USA Shooting, USA Water Ski, Alliance Fast Pitch and Players Way, and a learning management module of the platform for USA Cycling.

"Over the next couple of quarters, we will be launching a new iSportz Engagement Platform to kickstart the proliferation of a LinkedIn/Instagram-style platform for the wider amateur sports community, including fans, athletes, officials, parents and enthusiasts using Web3 components," said VKrishnan in a prepared statement. "We are also expanding the core sports management platform in the areas of merchandise, eCommerce, tryouts and fundraising for sports organizations."

iSportz was one of 16 companies that participated in Orlando Inno Madness. Each week, businesses went head-to-head, with the winners advancing to the next round. The competition drew 40,252 votes across four rounds.
