A Nashville-based mobile-tech company has a new leader.
GoCheck Kids has named Naveen Kathuria CEO, according to a news release.
He replaces Kevon Saber, who left the company in June and is on sabbatical, according to his LinkedIn page.
Founded in 2010, GoCheck Kids moved its headquarters from Silicon Valley to Nashville in 2018. The company’s smartphone app allows pediatricians to screen children as young as 6 months old for potentially dangerous eye diseases. Since arriving in Music City, GoCheck Kids has expanded its customer base from about 2,750 pediatricians to more than 6,500.
Kathuria was most recently CEO of caregiver support platform eFamilyCare, according to the release. He previously worked as senior vice president of partnerships and compliance at Array, a psychiatry and therapy platform.
“Naveen is a mission-driven healthcare leader with a proven track record of promoting innovation and growth,” Fred Goldwater, GoCheck Kids' chairman, said in the release. “His leadership will continue to propel GoCheck Kids forward as the leading digital vision screening solution enabling children to get access to the care they need to live healthier lives.”
The move comes nearly 18 months after GoCheck Kids raised a $10 million round of funding led by Hatteras Venture Partners and Pisgah Fund, bringing its total funds raised to $26 million.
