A New York City startup with Nashville ties has targeted Middle Tennessee for its launch.

Maternity and women’s health company Diana Health will open its first physical location and first end-to-end maternity program inside TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, according to a news release.

Diana Health works with hospitals to remake their women’s health programs through its tech platform to create an individualized experience, according to the release, while improving care and lowering costs.

Prior to launching Diana Health, Corum was the vice president of business development at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and was previously vice president and division manager at Nashville-based Pivot Health.

The announcement comes in conjunction with an $11 million capital raise by Diana Health, co-led by LRVHealth and .406 Ventures. The company will use the funds to launch the Smyrna location, expand its technology platform and spur growth.

“The care we receive as women, particularly during pregnancy and birth, has the potential to impact population health across generations while building lifelong connections between a family and their health care provider,” Kate Condliffe, co-founder and CEO of Diana Health, said in the release. “Traditional care models can make it challenging for providers to embrace this opportunity. That’s why we are completely restructuring care programs to provide engaging, whole health support that will drive meaningful change in the lives of women and families.”

TriStar StoneCrest is part of TriStar Health, the local health system of Nashville-based hospital giant HCA Healthcare Inc. (NYSE: HCA) TriStar StoneCrest is No. 11 on the Business Journal’s list of the largest hospitals in Middle Tennessee, with more than $854 million in revenue in 2020 and 115 beds.

“Diana Health’s unique program offers operational assistance through their dedicated specialists for labor and delivery,” TriStar StoneCrest CEO Louis Caputo said in the release. “By working together to support our maternity colleagues and our patients, we enhance outcomes for both mother and baby, offer more personalized delivery options and provide healthier tomorrows to every mother and baby. Diana Health does this through a new model of care that elevates quality and helps us to become the destination for women looking for a modern, individualized care experience in our community.”
