Perception Health has new owners.

Chicago-based professional services firm Huron (Nasdaq: HURN) has entered into an agreement to purchase the Franklin-based health-tech firm, according to a news release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Perception Health, which uses predictive analytics to improve clinical and business decision making, was founded in 2014 by former Nashville Technology Council CEO Tod Fetherling, who is now the company’s chief data scientist.

All Perception Health employees will join Huron, according to the release, including Fetherling and CEO Gregg Loughman.

“We are thrilled to join a values-led and people-focused organization that shares our vision for transforming health care,” Loughman said in the release. “Huron and Perception Health are strategically aligned and committed to helping our clients harness the power of curated data and analytics to make smarter decisions that profoundly impact patient outcomes, experience and cost of care.”

Huron is a global consulting agency with more than 15 offices across North America, Asia and Europe. The company reported more than $844 million in revenue for 2020, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Once the deal closes, which is expected to occur in December, Perception Health will be included in Huron’s Healthcare division.

"The health care industry is under immense pressure to deliver high-quality, individualized care,” James Roth, CEO of Huron, said in the release. “This acquisition allows Huron to offer providers, payors and research institutions data insights across the care continuum to make better decisions and proactively impact patient care and clinical outcomes.”
