Amount raised: More than $28.3 million, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing

What they do: Upperline Health is a network of physicians providing lower extremity (foot and ankle) care, according to the company’s website, including preventative care, wound care, vascular and vein care and surgical treatment. Upperline Health is currently in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and California.

The company’s CEO is David Thorpe. Adam Boehler, founder of Nashville-based health care investment firm Rubicon Partners, is listed as a director on the filing.

What the funds will be used for: Upperline Health declined to comment on the raise.
