It seems like every week we cover or come across a new startup in Wisconsin who we think is going to do amazing things. It's hard to list all the promising companies in one place. We gave it a shot with 19 about a month ago, and it was tough to cut the list down to that.

Well, now we want you to us what you think. Today we're kicking off Tech Madness where readers get to submit companies to be whittled down, NCAA tournament bracket-style, to determine who our readers would be most likely to invest in.

We're excited to bring the tech and startup communities together for some friendly competition. Remember, this challenge is designed to generate awareness and excitement for the state's ecosystem.

So, how does Tech Madness work? Nominations are now open, until February 8. Nominate a Wisconsin startup. (We’re looking for private, tech-enabled businesses.) In March, we’ll reveal the bracket. We will seed the "teams" based on a variety of factors including funding raised, age, number of employees and insights from our editorial staff on trajectory, product and industry.

What are you waiting for? Click here or fill out the form below to nominate the company you most think deserves a spot in the bracket.
