When you think of country music, you probably think of Nashville. But when it comes to country stars’ favorite guitars, look no further than Sparta, Wis., home of McPherson Guitars. Artists like Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Vince Gill and Little Big Town choose these guitars for their unique craftsmanship and spectacular sound. The custom guitars are all one-of-a-kind with no two guitars alike. Matt McPherson, a musician and bow maker, started the guitar company with the desire to make the kind of guitar he would want to play. More than 30 years and many iterations later, McPherson’s masterpieces are handmade by eight skilled craftsmen out of wood or carbon and have six uniquely engineered patents.
