A Milwaukee-based technology firm with roots in Green Bay venture capital firm TitletownTech is pivoting to artificial intelligence consulting for businesses, the company recently announced.

Previously known as Midpoint Ventures, the firm is now called Midpoint Consulting. It specializes in AI strategy, engineering, integration and workforce upskilling for enterprises. Offerings include an AI 101 curriculum for workforces, advanced AI training for leadership teams, and bespoke AI strategies, among other services.

The company has established "a sustainable book of business" and is now focused on growth, Midpoint Consulting co-founder and CEO Israel Squires said in a press release earlier this month. His co-founder is Devvan Stokes.

"While we do have clients that hire us to perform complex AI product creation where we get our hands dirty and code, our approach goes beyond mere technology integration," Stokes said in a statement. "It's about empowering the talent within your organization to lead the charge into the smart enterprise era."

Midpoint Ventures was a technology product-building venture studio, aiming to offer both financing and technical support to startups leveraging AI. It spun out of TitletownTech, which was founded by the Green Bay Packers and Microsoft Corp. and in 2020 partnered with the Milwaukee Brewers and the Milwaukee Bucks to invest in minority-owned startups through an initiative called the Equity League.

Squires led the Equity League before leaving to start Midpoint Ventures, which the Equity League partners supported with initial funding. In the fall of 2023, he was tapped to join a new state task force examining the impact of artificial intelligence on Wisconsin jobs.

In addition to Squires and Stokes, Midpoint Consulting's founding board members are Michael Barber, Peter Dulcamara and Todd Sobotka.
