7Rivers Inc., a new data tech-based consulting startup from Milwaukee entrepreneur Paul Stillmank, has teamed with the area's largest management consulting firm, New Resources Consulting, in an alliance designed to immediately broaden the capabilities the firms offer to clients.
Stillmank founded 7Rivers two years after selling his Salesforce consulting firm 7Summits to tech giant IBM and a year after leaving the firm as CEO. It focuses on using data technologies, including artificial intelligence, to boost a company's productivity and competitiveness.
Milwaukee-based New Resources Consulting, with 277 local consultants as of April 2023, ranks as the area's largest management consulting firm, according to Milwaukee Business Journal research. The firm focuses on IT consulting but also provides management consulting, enterprise solutions and Salesforce solutions and training. NRC's president and CEO Mark Grosskopf was an investor in Stillmank's first company, 7Summits, according to a press release.
“This collaboration promises innovative, data-driven solutions tailored to specific client needs,” Grosskopf said in the release. “Clients benefit from both the partnership's expanded market reach and combined resource strength, affording a more comprehensive range of services, from data analytics and machine learning to customized technology strategies and talent incubation.”
Stillmank said the deal provides access to a wider array of services and expertise from a single partnership.
“We are entering a new age of business possibilities and this partnership allows us to deliver more value to the market faster with 7Rivers' focus on data modernization, AI enablement, and data-native applications, combined with NRC's expertise in managed services, enterprise software solutions, application development, and project management,” Stillmank said in the release.
7Rivers launched in September 2023 backed by $3.5 million in funding. It expects to achieve profitability within 18 months.
