A new artificial intelligence-generated image of a "typical" Milwaukee home demonstrates the power of the emerging technology and its application in the housing market.
The image, shown above, was generated by All Star Home, a home improvement company in Raleigh, North Carolina, using an AI tool called Midjourney.
Generative AI technologies, which create new content based on prompts a user inputs, have boomed in recent months as the AI bot ChatGPT has gained popularity and spurred billions of dollars of investment into AI companies.
All Star Home used Midjourney to create AI-generated images of a typical home in all 50 U.S. states and the 30 largest U.S. cities. It used the following prompt to direct the AI: “a typical, beautiful house in [Milwaukee] in 2023. Photorealistic, very realistic, life-like, sunny day, as if taken with a Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L lens at 1/4 sec, f/7.1 and ISO400.”
