Global workforce solutions firm ManpowerGroup Inc. has opened a new information technology recruiting center in Bengaluru, India, to help bridge the gap between U.S. companies and the U.S. tech talent supply.

The new talent center is for ManpowerGroup's IT staffing business Experis and will be dedicated to helping primarily U.S. clients with technology staffing needs, according to a Jan. 18 announcement.

Despite the mass tech company layoffs that have made headlines in recent months, IT jobs are still some of the most in-demand roles amid the current global talent shortage. Employers have long sought out offshore tech employees in places like India, but the new Experis center is a state-of-the-art facility the company said is a "cornerstone" of its return-to-work strategy in India.

Experis has already been "aggressively scaling" its presence in India for two years, Experis U.S. senior vice president Ger Doyle said in a statement. There are already 500 recruitment professionals working at the new center in southern India, and the space has the capacity for more than 2,000 expected in the next two years, according to the announcement.

In 2021, the growth of Experis was a major driver of the overall growth of ManpowerGroup (NYSE: MAN), the company reported. The company reports its fourth-quarter 2022 financial results on Tuesday.

ManpowerGroup has its headquarters in Milwaukee. Experis has 1,968 employees and approximately 12,000 consultants in the U.S. The Milwaukee Experis office hosts the Experis Games Solutions facility focused on video game testing, which opened in August 2022. It has a capacity for up to 170 workers, according to a ManpowerGroup spokesperson.
