Zywave Inc., a fast-growing insurance tech company based in Wauwatosa, has appointed a new chief financial officer.

The company announced June 30 that Paul Rybecky would join its senior leadership team as chief financial officer, according to a press release.

Rybecky has over 30 years of executive leadership experience, including his most recent role as chief financial officer of cloud-based health care software company PointClickCare, according to the release.

He also served as vice president of finance, treasury and investor relations at DealerTrack Inc. Lake Success and chief financial officer at Confort & Co. Inc. after working at Ernst & Young LLP for 10 years, the release said.

The appointment follows a period of expansion at Zywave. The firm recently acquired Columbus, Ohio-based Strategic Insurance Software (SIS) in June, which was its ninth business acquisition in the past three years.

“Paul’s leadership style will continue to reinforce our values and culture,” said Jason Liu, Zywave CEO, in the release. “His success in similar environments on an accelerated growth path makes him the ideal person to help us scale our internal operations and reach our next level of growth. We look forward to seeing his impact.”

The company has over 1,000 employees and provides for more than 15,000 carriers, agencies and brokerages worldwide, including all of the top 100 U.S. insurance brokerages.

Zywave is the largest software product company in the the seven-county Milwaukee area when ranked by the number of professional software engineers working locally, with nearly 100 working in the Milwaukee area, according to July 2021 Business Journal research

At Zywave, Rybecky will oversee all business operations functions including accounting and finance, corporate development, human resources, information technology and legal, according to the release.
