Harley-Davidson Inc.'s electric bike spinoff Serial 1 introduced a second-generation line of its /CTY eBike models that will allow access to Google's software products.

Serial 1, based in Milwaukee, announced a new partnership with Google Cloud Tuesday that makes Serial 1 an "eMobility partner" that will integrate Google Cloud's software that can capture essential ride data, offer route planning and navigation assistance and allow for tracking and connectivity with the bike even when it's not out of sight.

Aaron Frank, brand director for Serial 1, said in a press release that as a partner, "Serial 1 will integrate Google Cloud's new Intelligent Product Essentials software solution into its eBikes, enabling predictive, proactive, and intelligent features that provide a better eBicycle experience for every rider."

Harley-Davidson (NYSE: HOG) in October 2020 announced its e-bicycle foray to design and develop a product worthy of the Harley-Davidson name. The eBikes are being marketed as Serial 1, powered by Harley-Davidson.

Serial 1 Cycle Company LLC is a Delaware limited liability company that launched with Harley-Davidson as a minority owner with private equity investors holding a majority stake. The company takes its name from “Serial Number One,” the nickname for Harley’s oldest known motorcycle.
