The Water Council, the global water industry research and technology hub based in Milwaukee, recently unveiled the 12 water-centric companies from across the world picked for its advanced Business, Research and Entrepreneurship in Water accelerator program, BREW 2.0.

BREW 2.0 builds on the format and success of the council's former BREW accelerator program. That program was operated out of the 98,000-square-foot Global Water Center at 247 W. Freshwater Way in Milwaukee, the headquarters of The Water Council. BREW 2.0 is a twice-a-year, two-week virtual program that includes sales and growth programs and access to customer connections. The program, and a pitch event, is sponsored by the American Family Insurance Institute for Corporate and Social Impact, a venture capital investment arm of American Family Insurance.

The accelerator begins in early February, with a virtual demo day planned for Feb. 23.
