Global consulting firm Deloitte on Wednesday released its 2020 Technology Fast 500 ranking, a list of the fastest-growing technology companies in North America based on percentage revenue growth between 2016 and 2020.
Three Wisconsin companies, all based in Madison, made the list.
SwanLeap, a logistics technology company that brings artificial intelligence to the supply chain and helps companies automate shipping decisions, like deciding whether an order should be shipped via freight or parcel delivery, was the highest-ranking of the three Wisconsin companies at No. 62 with a growth percentage of 2,198%.
Exact Sciences (Nasdaq: EXAS), the biotechnology and cancer diagnostics company that makes the Cologuard colon cancer take home test, ranked No. 151 overall with a growth percentage of 782%. Exact Sciences in October announced it had acquired Cambridge, Massachusetts-based cancer detection company Thrive Earlier Detection Corp. in a cash and stock deal valued at $2.15 billion.
The company also announced it had acquired Cambridge, England-based Base Genomics for $410 million. Base Genomics is a company working in DNA methylation analysis.
Biotech company EyeKor Inc. was the third and final company from Wisconsin at No. 429 with a growth percentage of 218%.
To be eligible for the list, companies must have base-year operating revenues of at least $50,000 and current-year operating revenues of at least $5 million.
