Fifteen companies from the Milwaukee metro made the 2020 Inc. 5000, the premier list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
Last year, 17 firms from the Milwaukee metropolitan statistical area made the list.
Inc. ranked companies based on their three-year percentage revenue growth between 2016 and 2019. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March of 2016, have a minimum revenue of $100,000 for 2016 and a minimum revenue of $2 million for 2019.
Madison-based Fetch Rewards, which created a smartphone app where shoppers can scan their grocery receipts to upload codes and save on future items at checkout, was the highest-ranking company from Wisconsin on the 2019 list at No. 116 with a three-year growth rate of 3,160%. Fetch Rewards ranked No. 68 in 2019.
