Startup accelerator gener8tor revealed the five startups accepted into its latest gBETA Beloit program, which officially kicked off April 16.
The free, seven-week accelerator gives companies access to mentors, customers, corporate partners and investors. Unlike some of gener8tor’s other programs, the organization doesn’t provide any equity to participating companies.
Because of the Covid-19 crisis, and local and national government guidelines asking people to shelter in place, this spring’s gBETA program is entirely virtual.
“The companies selected for our spring 2020 cohort are addressing big and important problems in our community and economy,” said Mason Cook, gBETA Beloit’s director, in a statement. “Each of these companies align with gener8tor’s mission to be the best partner for a community to invest in its best, and brightest and we are thrilled to rally the community to accelerate these founders.”
The cohort graduates on June 10 with a virtual demo day, where each company will deliver a five-minute pitch. Mentors, investors and the greater Wisconsin tech community are expected to attend.
